Val d'Isère
A village at 1,850 metres; the tourist office says everything in the village is within walking distance, with free shuttles between areas.
Méribel
In the Three Valleys; the tourist office map lists villages from Les Allues (1,100 m) to Mottaret (1,750 m). Check each chalet's lift access.
