Editorial standards
How this is written, sourced and paid for.
How iLuxuryTravels researches, sources, dates and corrects its travel writing — including how we are paid, and how to request a correction.
Who writes this
Everything on iLuxuryTravels is written and edited in-house by The iLuxuryTravels Editorial Team. We do not publish sponsored posts, guest posts, or paid-placement articles, and we do not accept payment for inclusion in a guide or a collection.
iLuxuryTravels is written and edited in-house. Every rate, season and transfer time we publish is checked against partner inventory and named public sources, and revisited when the market moves.
How we source figures
Every statistic in a report or guide is attributed to a named primary source and linked, so a reader or an editor can check it without contacting us. Where a figure comes from our own partner inventory rather than a published study, we say so.
Rates are published as indicative bands tied to a season, never as a quoted price for specific dates. A villa's price is set by the owner and the agency holding the calendar and moves with demand; the live figure always comes from the supplier holding the dates.
Dating and revision
Each guide, report and essay carries a publication date and a last-checked date. Seasonal rate tables are revisited at least once a year and after any material market move. When we change a figure, the revision date changes with it.
We do not silently rewrite a published claim. Substantive corrections are noted on the page.
Commercial disclosure
iLuxuryTravels earns affiliate commission when a reader books through a partner link. Those partners include Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and the wider Stay22 network. Commission is paid on completed stays and does not vary by which house or town we recommend.
No supplier pays to appear in a guide, to rank higher in the Collection, or to influence a rate table. Where our commercial interest and a reader's interest diverge — most obviously in our shoulder-season writing, which argues against the weeks that pay us most — we publish the reader's version.
Images and permissions
Property photography is supplied by owners and partner agencies for marketing use. Editorial and location imagery is licensed or produced in-house. We do not present a photograph of one property as another, and we do not retouch a view that does not exist.
Corrections and right of reply
If we have published something inaccurate — a rate, a transfer time, an ownership detail, a closure — tell us and we will check it against the source and correct it. Owners and agencies named in a piece have a right of reply, which we will publish alongside the original where the point is contested.
Correction requests and press enquiries both go through the contact route on the press page.
Using our work
Journalists and editors are welcome to quote our figures and reports with attribution to iLuxuryTravels and a link to the page cited. The press kit carries ready-made citation lines and an embeddable chart.
Wholesale republication of a guide or essay, and any commercial use of our data feeds or APIs, requires written permission — see the terms of service.
