What a sea view, a private stair to the water and forty kilometres of single cliff road do to the nightly rate.
Seasonal bands
The coast prices in a narrow window. Beach clubs open in late April and largely close in mid-October, and the rate curve tracks that calendar almost exactly, with August the point at which heat, crowd and price all peak together.

Village premiums
Positano charges for proximity and the postcard; Ravello charges for altitude, gardens and August air that is several degrees cooler. Praiano is the value line the coast's regulars actually use, and Sorrento buys flat ground and shorter transfers.

Transfers, boats and staffing
Access is the recurring cost here. Peak-season plate restrictions on the coast road make a permitted local driver close to essential, and a gozzo turns the whole coast into a fifteen-minute commute.
Naples transfer
USD 250 - 450 by road outside peak and USD 900 - 2,000 by private boat, which in August is often the faster and calmer option.
Driver with permitted vehicle
USD 450 - 800 a day in shoulder, USD 600 - 1,000 in July and August, and the practical answer to alternate-day plate restrictions.
Gozzo day boat with skipper
USD 900 - 2,200 in shoulder, USD 1,400 - 3,200 in August. Book with the house for peak weeks.
Private chef
USD 400 - 750 a day in shoulder, USD 600 - 1,100 in peak. A housekeeper and caretaker are usually inside the rate because the stairs demand one.

Bands are read from live connected partner inventory for Amalfi Coast villas of four bedrooms and above with a pool or private sea platform, compared against the same houses in the May shoulder. Ranges describe what the market asks, not a quote: live pricing for any specific estate is confirmed at the point of reservation through our partner network. Transfer and boat figures are indicative and exclude the local city tax.
