The skiing sits in the middle of the Trois Vallées, which makes over-reaching easy. Check the last lifts back from Courchevel and Val Thorens, and remember that visibility on the high links closes in fast.
The valley road from Moûtiers is long, winding and busy on Saturday changeover days. Winter tyres are required in season; a booked transfer removes the issue entirely.
