July is the month everyone travels. The trick is not avoiding the crowds — it is knowing where the crowds are worth it, where they are avoidable, and what peak season actually buys you.

July costs what it costs because it delivers what it delivers: the Mediterranean at its warmest, every restaurant and beach club open, the social season at full tilt.
