The island's other season: yoga decks, inland fincas and empty northern beaches, far from the club corridor. The month you choose decides most of the stay here — whether the spas are open at all, whether a therapist is bookable tomorrow or in three weeks, and what a villa costs. This is the twelve-month view, with a built-in itinerary builder and live partner rates below.
Retreat programmes, spa and bathing conditions, therapist availability and villa rate character for each month of the year.
| Month | Retreats & programmes | Spa & bathing | Therapist availability | Villa rates |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| January | Deep off-season. The island belongs to residents; almost no programmes run and most hotels are shut. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Out of season — house facilities only. | Essentially unavailable beyond a visiting therapist. | Lowest of the year. |
| February | Still closed. Windy and quiet; a month for walking and solitude, not for a structured retreat. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. House pools unheated unless specified — ask before booking. | Minimal. | Lowest. |
| March | Almonds and wildflowers; the first yoga teachers return at the end of the month. Sea swimming, sunrise yoga and pine-forest walking restarts quietly. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Sea too cold for most; heated pools begin coming online. | Partial. Confirm openings before fixing dates. | Low. |
| April | Season opening. Sea swimming, sunrise yoga and pine-forest walking starts properly — the greenest the island gets, and empty. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Heated pool weather; sea still bracing. | Good availability at off-peak prices; 2–3 days ahead. | Low–moderate. |
| May | The best month. Sea swimming, sunrise yoga and pine-forest walking in warm calm weather with retreat groups running and the island still quiet. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Sea swimmable and empty; the classic month for open-water practice. | Very good; book 3–5 days ahead. | Moderate — the best value of the season. |
| June | Full season. Retreats, yoga decks and sunrise practice all running; the crowds arrive late in the month. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Perfect swimming before the July heat. | Filling; a week ahead for the best therapists. | Moderate–high. |
| July | Peak and loud. Retreats continue but the island is busy; the north and the inland fincas stay calmer than the coast. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Beaches crowded midday; dawn swims are the move. | Heavy demand; 2 weeks ahead. | High — villas near capacity. |
| August | The busiest and hottest weeks. Practice at dawn, rest at midday; expect the island at full capacity. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Sea at its warmest and busiest; a house pool earns its keep. | Booked out; 3 weeks ahead. | Peak — the most expensive month. |
| September | The other best month. Sea swimming, sunrise yoga and pine-forest walking in warm water with the crowds gone — retreat groups return for the second wave. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Warmest sea of the year, empty beaches. | Availability returns; 4–5 days ahead. | Moderate–high, softening through the month. |
| October | Calm closing weeks. Sea swimming, sunrise yoga and pine-forest walking continues in gentle light; the island begins shutting after mid-month. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Sea swimmable into the first half of the month. | Good and inexpensive while open. | Low–moderate. |
| November | Closed. Ferries thin out, hotels shut and programmes stop. Walking and quiet only. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. Out of season. | Minimal. | Low. |
| December | Off-season with a short festive exception. No organised retreats; private teachers only. | Ibiza bathing is the Mediterranean and the finca pool, with the salt lagoons of Ses Salines as the island's own mineral-water curiosity. House facilities only. | Minimal. | Low, with a small festive bump. |
Calendar guidance is editorial, assembled from official tourism data, seasonal opening patterns and connected partner inventory in September 2026 — not a quotation. Rate character is an indicative planning note; every house is priced live by the partner holding your dates.
Ibiza has no hot springs, but it has a long-standing wellness scene built on the inland fincas and the north of the island — a different place entirely from the summer club corridor in the south.
The island's salt lagoons and their beaches sit in a protected nature park in the south; the water is warm, shallow and heavily mineral — quiet outside July and August.
Around Sant Joan and Santa Agnès the island is pine forest, terraces and small coves. Almost all the yoga and retreat activity happens here, not in the resorts.
Inland fincas are cooler than the coast and most have pools; heating matters for April, May and October dates — confirm it before booking.
