What a Zermatt chalet costs by week
Zermatt is car-free: you leave the car in Täsch and arrive by train or electric taxi. That single fact shapes the rental market — the best chalets are the ones a short walk or a private shuttle from a lift, not the ones with the largest garage. The village is also ringed by 38 four-thousand-metre peaks, including the Matterhorn, a feature the lift company cites in describing the surrounding terrain.

Above the village towards Furi. Confirm ski access and the view for each chalet.
Bahnhofstrasse and the centre
The village centre, near the station, restaurants and lifts. Check the walking distance for each property.
Petit Village and Steinmatte
The area around the Sunnegga funicular. Ask the supplier how far each chalet is from it.
Findeln and the hillside
Hamlet chalets on the mountain above the village. Confirm how guests and luggage reach each one.
