What a St. Moritz chalet costs
St. Moritz rents on address and season in equal measure. Suvretta is the quiet, wooded, ski-in quarter; Dorf is the shops and the hotels; Bad sits by the lake with better value; Champfèr and Sils are a short drive out and noticeably calmer.

Where to take the week
Suvretta
Wooded, quiet and ski-in to Corviglia. The chalet address, and the highest rates in the valley.
St. Moritz Dorf
Shops, hotels and the funicular. Walkable evenings; the busiest quarter in event weeks.
St. Moritz Bad
By the lake, with the cross-country tracks and the Signal lift. Better value for the same ski access.
Champfèr, Silvaplana and Sils
Five to fifteen minutes out, quieter, with Corvatsch skiing and the lakes for kite-skiing in late winter.
- White Turf horse racing and Snow Polo weeks book out the valley — check them before fixing dates.
- Christmas and New Year weeks go nine to twelve months ahead here.
- Ask whether the chalet is ski-in or needs a driver to Corviglia; the difference matters daily.
- The Engadin is high and dry — March skiing here holds better than in lower resorts.
- Zurich is three hours by road; the Bernina rail arrival is slower and better.
