Where to take the week
Suvretta
A district of St. Moritz at the Corviglia ski area. The Suvretta House hotel states it has a private ski lift to Corviglia, and a ski-lift database lists the Suvretta T-bar as private and needing a separate ticket. Whether a given chalet has ski-in access must be confirmed with the supplier.
St. Moritz Dorf
The St. Moritz village centre. Confirm ski access and distance to the Corviglia lifts for the chalet you choose.
St. Moritz Bad
The St. Moritz Bad district. Confirm ski access and distance to the lifts for the chalet you choose.
Champfèr, Silvaplana and Sils
Villages in the Upper Engadin outside St. Moritz itself. Confirm drive times and ski access with the supplier.
- White Turf, first run in 1907 and raced on the frozen lake, and the Snow Polo World Cup, staged on the lake since 1985, book out the valley in their weeks — check them before fixing dates.
- Christmas and New Year weeks go early here.
- Ask whether the chalet is ski-in or needs a driver to Corviglia; the difference matters daily.
- The three ski areas open and close on different dates. The Corviglia lifts above St. Moritz run 28 November 2026 to 4 April 2027, Corvatsch to 25 April and Diavolezza to 2 May, so a late-season trip is best based near Corvatsch; the operator's planned dates can change with snow, so check before booking.
- Zurich is the usual gateway; by rail the route is via Chur on the Albula line. Check the SBB timetable for current journey times.

- By road, or by rail via Chur on the Albula line; check the SBB timetable for current journey times. Engadin airport at Samedan, close to town, takes private aircraft.
