What a Lech chalet costs
Lech sits at the snowy end of the Arlberg, linked by lift to Zürs, St. Anton and Warth. The chalets are Austrian in service culture — half board and staffing are common rather than exceptional — and Oberlech, above the village and car-free by day, is the most sought address.

Oberlech
Above the village, reached by cable car, closed to cars by day: true ski-in chalets and the quietest evenings. Luggage moves by tunnel.
Lech village
Restaurants, shops and the Rüfikopf and Schlegelkopf lifts on foot. The most practical base for a mixed group.
Zürs
Ten minutes up the pass, higher and smaller, with direct access to the Trittkopf and Madloch runs. Quieter and often better value.
Zug
A hamlet two kilometres from Lech: farmhouse chalets, the best dinners in the valley and a shuttle to the lifts.
- Ski-in access is the single biggest value driver in Lech — confirm it rather than assume it.
- Christmas, New Year and half-term book nine to twelve months ahead.
- Ask whether the week is catered or half board and what staffing is included where offered.
- The Flexenbahn links Lech to St. Anton, so one pass covers the whole Arlberg.
