What a Harbour Island house costs

Bahamian houses in the Collection:
Which side of the island
The pink beach (Atlantic side)
Direct sand access, dunes, sunrise swims and the highest rates on the island. Cart ride into town for dinner.
Dunmore Town
Colonial clapboard houses with walled gardens, walking distance to restaurants, the bakery and the harbour. The most sociable base.
Harbour side and the marina
Sunsets, boat access and calm water for children; a short cart ride to the beach.
The south end
Quietest, greenest and best value, five to ten minutes by cart from town.
- Fly to North Eleuthera, then a ten-minute water taxi — build in an hour at each end.
- Golf carts are the only sensible transport; confirm the house includes one or two.
- Christmas and New Year book six to twelve months ahead and price like nowhere else in the Bahamas.
- September and October are storm season; most of the island's restaurants close.
- Groceries are limited and expensive — the shops in town are small, so plan menus early.
