The Oceania collection
Luxury travel in Oceania.
Overwater estates in Bora Bora, reached by a daylight seaplane or boat from Papeete. Every house in the collection connects to live rates and books with our trusted partners — and for the wider South Pacific, the Oceania guide and FAQ carry the planning detail.
Where we hold houses
We hold houses in French Polynesia. Australia, New Zealand and the wider Pacific are covered in the destination guide as editorial, not listings.
The best months to go
- December to February
- Australian and New Zealand summer: beaches, long evenings and the busiest, most expensive weeks of the year, particularly Christmas through mid-January. The tropical Pacific is hot, humid and in cyclone season, so island rates fall accordingly.
- March to May
- Autumn in the south and the sweet spot for many: warm sea, thinner crowds and lower rates in Australia and New Zealand. The Pacific dries out from April, with French Polynesia turning calm and clear by May.
- June to August
- Ski season in Queenstown and the Southern Alps, and winter in Sydney and Melbourne, which is mild rather than cold. This is peak season in French Polynesia and Fiji: dry, breezy and the clearest water of the year, so book those months first.
- September to November
- Spring in the south, with wildflowers in Western Australia, whale watching along both coasts and rates well below the summer peak. The Pacific stays dry into November before the wet season returns.
